The Symbols of the Celts
Text: Pascal Lamour / Illustrations: David Balade
Most of the celtic symbols date back to the Antiquity, and where enriched by the migrations of Celtic tribes and the imagination of their bards who therefore transmitted them to their people.
Pascal Lamour enters this imagination in order to recompose its spaces, and to open this knowledge through his own way. Here, memory is transmitted through forgotten paths.
David Balade’s illustrations are inspired by the fundamental texts of Celtic literature or the rich motifs that adorn the most beautiful objects of Celtic art: jewelry, mirrors, crosses or illuminated books.
