The tree of life is a universal symbol present in cultures around the world for centuries: a link between earth and sky, between the roots of existence and the striving towards the light. Its roots symbolize grounding and memory, its trunk stability and continuity, while its branches evoke evolution, openness, and transmission.

Since 2006, David Balade has explored the theme of the tree of life, a sensitive expression of the unity of all living things. Drawing inspiration from cultures around the world, through forms, materials, and lines, each of his trees seeks to reveal a shared energy connecting humankind to nature and other beings. More than mere representations, these trees embody a dialogue between strength and balance, movement and harmony.
